Yen’s Weather Report:
Clothes layered, socks doubled, jacket zipped up all the way through. I walked out into the chilly morning thinking I was ready for the cold. In my head I believed my skin to be thick enough to withstand just about anything bleak. But the day ended with me frozen, alone, and angry with the changing seasons, with the crazy weather, with the way I clasped my own hands. It’s fall and as leaves change colors to wilt and die, I just couldnt find any warmth. Piled clothing and hardened skin just can’t salvage me from the dark, frigid night. So you mighty winds blow now and give me back my sunshine.
